New In: Spring Staples

Boucle Jacket: Yumi Boutique // Breton stripe top (similar here and here) and white tees : Penneys (similar here and here) // Statement necklace: Penneys (similar here and here) As I mentioned in my March wishlist post, one of my favourite things about the Spring season (apart from the weather getting warmer of course) is the prospect of updating my wardrobe. Picking those few pieces that inject a welcome dose of colour and life into your tired winter separates is key, and its important to choose wisely, and invest a little extra if you can. When the lovely people at Yumi boutique asked me to choose something from their collection to style up for my blog, I was instantly drawn to this beautiful bright boucle jacket, as it just screams Spring to me!  The quality and fit of the jacket is fantastic, and I can’t wait to pair it with…

Shop my Wardrobe:

INSTA-LIFE #1

I havent had one of these posts in a while now, so here is a look at what I’ve been up to lately according to my Instagram account! I absolutely love Instagram and I use it nearly everyday, so if you’re on it, hit me up! My name is @WildChildCiara (same as my Twitter) or click the link here to follow. My beautiful new faux fur coat from Asos. I know its technically Springtime now, but the Irish weather doesn’t seem to think so, so I’m still rocking my Winter furs with a vengeance, they’re just so warm and cosy! Sleepy Selfie Catching up with a friend over Mojitos in Dublin, so good! I snapped up these beautiful strappy heels in Penneys/Primark for only €13 last week. Delighted would be an understatement. They still have some in there, so I urge you to grab a pair before they sell out…

My Beauty Favourites:

Embroidered Shirt

Jacket : Next // Shirt : Primark/Penneys // Leather Pants : H&M // Tardy Boots : Jeffrey Campbell I’ve just realised how moody I look in these photos! Cheer up there Ciara, eh?1 Its weird because Im literally always smiling, as in ALL the time, I can’t help it. But sometimes in outfit photos I do fall victim to the age-old “Fashion Scowl” which for some reason is a default-fashion blogger thing. Forgive me, dear readers! Anyways, this is a pretty relaxed outfit by my standards, its extremely comfortable (yes, even the Tardy Boots are comfy!) and it’s perfect for popping into town for some errands, or for a lunch date. You may have spotted this shirt in one of my inspiration posts here. Although Spring is indeed upon us, Irelands winter is still clinging on with both hands, so unfortunately a coat is still very much a necessity for…

My Interiors Lust-List:

There’s no Hope with Dope.

Top : AxParis // Necklace : eBay // Skirt : eBay // Boots : Jeffrey Campbell // Hat : eBay // Sunglasses : eBay Soooo pretty much everything I’m wearing in this look is from eBay, apart from my trusty Tardy boots, and my wonderful new “DOPE” slogan tee from AxParis, which I absolutely love. Most people know that “Dope” means cool (or weed) in American slang, but it also means “idiot” in Irish slang ~ which makes me wonder if some people who don’t get the American reference think that I’m essentially calling myself an eeejit (or maybe a dope-peddler ?!). Anyways, the thought makes me giggle a little when I wear this top, which must be a good thing, right? I also think this slogan-top is a refreshing change from the hugely popular (dare I say TOO popular?) “Geek” and “Nerd” tees that are all over the place…

Real Vs Steal ~ Embroidered Shirts

Kate Bosworth wearing Isabel Marant embroidered shirt Its time for another “Real Vs Steal” feature ~ I know I haven’t done one in ages, and this week I’m crushing on embroidery in all its loveliness! I first spotted these beautiful embroidered  shirts on Kate Bosworth at Coachella last year (read more here) last year but after rooting around for them I learned that they were Isabel Marant, and therefore a bit out of my price range unfortunately! I was delighted to discover recently that Penneys (Primark) have them in stock right now, retailing at just under €15 ~ delighted! I snapped up one, as you can see in the photo above from my instagram  They come in a cream and a white colour, with different embroidery designs, and they are just gorgeous. I recommend popping in post-haste to get in on the action, as I don’t imagine these will stay in…

Holographic

Dress : AxParis // Clutch : H&M // Boots : Sam Edelman // Necklace : Primark/Penneys Considering how much you all liked my Holographic-themed inspiration post, (click here to read) I couldn’t wait to show you guys my new Holographic clutch from H&M. I thought it would go perfectly with this amazing AxParis dress, which is covered in small sequins,  giving it a really cool “slick” look, almost like its wet. I feel like a fish, haha! AxParis have some amazing dresses at the moment, so be sure to check out their new arrivals section to see some of their goodies 🙂 I also picked up some lovely neon jewellery pieces in Penneys (Primark) last week, and this pink one goes perfectly with the outfit! I love pops of bright colour on black outfits, I think its a really fun way to incorporate trends like Neon and Space-Age into your wardrobe…
